Miller becomes first new signing of the summer

Warrington Town have made their first new signing of the summer by bringing in forward Sean Miller from Chorley.

Miller, 26, came through the ranks at Chester and has National League experience with Curzon Ashton and Altrincham, as well as a spell in Wales with Connah’s Quay, where he was named the Welsh Premier League’s Young Player of the Year in 2015.

Yellows boss Paul Carden said: “Millsy’s a link player who is energetic, busy and can score goals from nothing. He’s had success with the likes of Altrincham and he’s a good age for what we want.

“He’s a good technical player and we haven’t really had that kind of guile in the forward positions since Tony Gray left.

“Sean will add that little bit of touch and technical ability to our front line. He’s got an eye for goal out of nothing and he will be a really good addition for us.

“He can play in any of the forward positions and he’s got a hell of a strike on him, which I hope to see quite a lot of.”

The Liverpudlian joins fellow forwards Jordan Buckley and Josh Amis in Carden’s squad for the 2021/22 season, with defender Eddie Clarke and midfielder Luke Duffy also signed up to date.
