The crowdfunding campaign for the club has hit the £5,000 milestone.
In little more than two days, a fantastic response by supporters and the local and football communities has enabled the club to reach the half way mark of its initial £10,000 target as of Wednesday evening.
Donations have come in from the likes of Everton footballer Matthew Pennington, who hails from the town, and former Yellows midfielder Ben Garrity, who left the club to sign a professional deal with Blackpool earlier this year.
All donations, however big or small, are welcomed and the club would like to express it’s gratitude for the support received so far.
We’re hopeful that we can break through the £10,000 target and continue to fundraise – as the club looks to bridge the gap left by an estimated £70,000 shortfall due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
