Introducing the club’s new physio, Allie O’Neill
You will have noticed a new face in the Yellows backroom team this season, with Allie O’Neill joining as the club’s new physio.
Originally from Cheltenham, Allie is a Sport Rehabilitation graduate and has spent the past two seasons working with Irlam FC in the North West Counties League, as well as completing some work with full-time referees working at Premier League level and below.
Her arrival followed the departure in the summer of Ben Nutter, who took a full-time job up at Football League side Stockport County.
Allie herself has spent time at Stockport on placement during the 2020/21 season, and she currently works at the University of Salford, within a student-led clinic on the Sport Rehabilitation course.

She previously graduated from the University of Salford with First Class Honours in 2021, completing a dissertation that was directed at football, completing a review of the literature looking at modifiable risk factors of adductor injuries within footballers.
Allie said: “It’s been great to join the club, everyone has been really welcoming and I’m excited to see how the rest of the season goes.”
Allie has been kept busy in the summer and early part of the season, helping to support several first team players through injury and towards their subsequent return to action.
Manager Mark Beesley provided an update on several players following the recent draw at home to Spennymoor Town, with skipper Josh Amis nearing a return to action.
