Jamie Mc is coming back

Warrington Town have re-signed striker Jamie McDonald.

McDonald, 28, scored 17 goals in the 2017/18 season for the Yellows and returns following spells at City of Liverpool and Lower Breck.

He scored nine goals in the run to the last 16 of the FA Trophy in that season.

Manager Paul Carden said: “It’s good to get him back. I’ve always kept in touch with Jamie and he’s always insinuated that he’d like to come back.

“I just thought with where we’re at and the type of dressing room we’ve got, he’ll fit in great with the lads. He’s different to what we have and he can play with any of the forwards we’ve got.

“We know he’s more than capable at this level. He was unfortunate last time he was here with moves into the league falling through, and it did affect him.

“It’s good to have him back – he trained with us on Tuesday and last night and he’s buzzing for it.”

McDonald goes straight into contention for Saturday’s league game away at Mickleover.
