Jordan Buckley leaves Warrington Town

Striker Jordan Buckley has left Warrington Town to join FC United of Manchester for an undisclosed fee.

Buckley was the club’s top goalscorer in the 2021/22 season as the Yellows reached the Northern Premier League play-off final.

He scored a dramatic late winner against Rushall Olympic earlier this month, but was forced off injured in the first half of the FA Trophy clash with Blyth Spartans seven days later.

After an injury-hit past two seasons, it was agreed that it would be best for Buckley to seek a fresh start closer to home and he makes a return to FC United, where he played prior to joining the Yellows in 2019.

In total, Buckley scored 35 goals in 89 appearances for Warrington Town, including 18 in 32 games in 2021/22.

Buckley has been responsible for some memorable moments for the Yellows and he will remain part of the club’s historic achievement in reaching the National League North.

Everyone at the club wishes Jordan all the best for the future.
