Listen to live commentary of the Yellows this weekend

This weekend, we will be trialling live audio commentary for the Yellows game away at Lancaster City.

You can listen to the coverage online here or via the Mixlr app.

If successful, the intention will be to provide live audio commentary on a regular basis, to give you the best coverage of the club even if you cannot make it to the game – particularly in these challenging times.

Commentary will be led by James Gordon and feature Warrington Guardian sports reporter Matt Turner, as well as co-commentary and guest contributions from non-playing players where possible.

Broadcasts will start 15 minutes prior to kick-off – so 2.45pm on Saturdays and 7.30pm on Tuesdays – and will continue throughout half-time all the way to the final whistle.

This is another step forward for the club – with video highlights now available from every game, while season ticket sales have increased by 79% from last season.

Live text commentary will continue as normal via the club’s Twitter account, @theyellows,

  1. I would definitely listen to this, mainly for away games. I have a season ticket for home games but won’t be able to make it to away games very often this season, especially the longer trips. I’ve listened to commentaries from the opposition on Mixlr a few times and I’ve enjoyed it. They are amateur commentators and (understandably) a little biased but it’s better than following on Twitter!
