Mitch Duggan re-signs for 2021/22

Warrington Town can confirm that Mitch Duggan has re-signed with the club for the Pitching In Northern Premier League 2021/22 season.

Duggan, 24, joined the Yellows permanently from Tranmere Rovers in 2018, and most recently joined Flint Town United in the Welsh Premier League following the curtailment of the 2020/21 Northern Premier League season.

To date, the right-back has made 114 appearances, scoring three goals.

He said: “To be honest it was always the plan to re-sign after going to Flint due to our season being curtailed.

“I enjoy playing here. The lads are always great and I get on well with Paul Carden and Mark Beesley and the rest of the staff.

“The goal for this season is promotion which is the same goal as every season I’ve been here. Hopefully we can play the full season and finally get it done.

“Personally I’m hoping to chip in with a few more goals and assists, whether that’s from full-back or midfield.

“We’ve been back in pre-season for a few weeks now and the lads are looking good. It looks like everyone’s been looking after themselves during the time off and we’re only going to get fitter and stronger. I just can’t wait for the games to start now.”

Duggan becomes our third re-signing of the day after skipper Mark Roberts and James Baillie.
