Preview: Warrington Town vs Boston United

Warrington Town will look to make it four successive wins in the National League North on Saturday as they welcome Boston United to Cantilever Park.

Victories over Buxton, Blyth Spartans and Chorley in recent weeks have put the Yellows in a comfortable 12th position in the league table on 47 points.

They sit just one point behind this weekend’s visitors, and Mark Beesley’s side will be looking to avenge the 2-0 defeat they suffered at the Jakemans Community Stadium back in August.

Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Preston North End youngster Kacper Pasiek arrived at Warrington Town prior to this weekend’s clash against Boston United and could feature in tomorrow’s matchday squad.

Captain Josh Amis remains unavailable as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

Mark Beesley preview

Warrington Town manager Mark Beesley has instructed his side to not become complacent as they look to build on the progress they have made in recent weeks.

The Yellows sit just three points outside of a playoff spot and tomorrow’s fixture provides them with a chance to leapfrog over this weekend’s opponents, and Beesley wants to maintain the momentum heading into the latter stages of the season.

“We’ve got to keep pushing and improving. The players have got to keep wanting to improve because when people come to watch us, they want to see us play well, win games and entertain,” Beesley said.

“We’ll make sure we’re pushing each other, doing our homework and not resting on our laurels.

“We could sit back and think ‘we’re doing alright here’ but football has a nasty habit of kicking you in the teeth if you do that.

“At the moment, everything around the club is positive and we’ve got to keep that good feeling going as long as we can.”
