Preview: Warrington Town vs Southport

Warrington Town gear up for their third successive home game tonight as they welcome Southport to Cantilever Park in the National League North.

The Yellows come into this game spurred on by a comeback on Saturday which saw them claim a 2-1 victory over Bishop’s Stortford, and another three points tonight could see them move into the play-off places.

Since the original fixture’s postponement in January, the two sides are now separated by 14 points in the table, and Mark Beesley’s group will be aiming to complete a league double over the Sandgrounders after their unforgettable 4-0 win away at Haig Avenue in the season opener.

Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Matt Grivosti featured as a substitute in Saturday’s victory over Bishop’s Stortford after feeling unwell, while defender Tom Hannigan was absent due to illness. Both men will be monitored ahead of Tuesday’s game.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Mark Beesley’s squad after Saturday.
