Putnam double helps Yellows beat Wythenshawe Town
Warrington Town secured their first victory of pre-season with a 3-1 win away at Wythenshawe Town.
In difficult conditions at Ericstan Park, the Yellows were worthy winners as they continued their preparations for the 2022/23 Pitching In Northern Premier League season.

Luke Duffy opened the scoring, smashing home from 25 yards out after excellent build-up led to a half-clearance from the hosts.
Their advantage was doubled shortly after half-time, Oliver Putnam capitalising an error from Wythenshawe keeper Elliot Wynne to slot home into an empty net.

Putnam grabbed his second of the match shortly after the hour mark, latching onto a well-weighted Mikey Howard through ball before rounding the keeper and finishing well from the angle.
