Quintet head to Welsh Premier League

Warrington Town can confirm an agreement has been reached with five players to play elsewhere for the rest of the season.

With the return of football at this level looking increasingly unlikely, the club has given the green light for players to seek opportunities to play football and earn money elsewhere for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

Defenders Evan Gumbs and Eddie Clarke, long-serving versatile defender/midfielder Mitch Duggan and striker Jordan Buckley will all join Flint Town United in the Welsh Premier League.

Also making the switch to Wales is winger Jack Mackreth, who has joined Bala Town.

The club awaits further news from the relevant bodies regarding the rest of the season and will communicate with fans and sponsors appropriately.
