Report: Buxton 0-6 Warrington Town
Warrington Town recorded their biggest win in the National League North with a stunning 6-0 win away at Buxton.
Isaac Buckley-Ricketts took home the match ball after scoring a second half hat-trick as the Yellows humbled the hosts in blustery conditions at Silverlands.
They set off on the right foot when Matty McDonald swept home the opener inside three minutes. Connor Woods won the ball in midfield and pushed Buckley-Ricketts forward on the right and his ball inside meant for Woods fell for McDonald to score his first goal of the season.
There wasn’t much to choose between the two sides for the rest of the first half, Dan Atherton making two routine saves to deny Tommy Elliott from range.

Despite missing skipper Josh Amis (ankle) and Andy White (illness), and with Jay Harris and Andre Wisdom only well enough for the bench, the Yellows looked relatively comfortable and Buxton made two half-time changes to try and sway the game in their favour.
But as the game hit the hour mark, Sean Williams had really got a grip of it and he ended up guiding the Yellows to a blow away victory.
He fired the first warning shot when his run through the middle ended in a shot that whistled just over Joe Young’s crossbar, the ‘keeper called in to action moments later to deny McDonald a second from Woods’ pull-back.
They didn’t have to wait long for the second goal to come, a pinpoint Williams corner found Dec Walker who was miraculously denied by Young, only for Tom Hannigan to poke home the rebound.
Young clawed away a McDonald shot after Evan Gumbs’ flick on, and then he saved well from Woods.
Buckley-Ricketts got the first of his 15 minute hat-trick on 76 minutes and in some style. Williams won the ball back in the box and then executed an outrageous rabona cross for Buckley-Ricketts to head home for 3-0.
From the kick-off, the Yellows won the ball back and Matt Grivosti got in on the act, beating his man and drilling a low shot in to the far corner.
But for Young it could have been more. He kept out Bohan Dixon’s instinctive first-time effort from 25 yards, but was beaten twice more to send the away fans in to delirium.
Grivosti stood up his man and delivered a deep cross that Dixon steered back for Buckley-Ricketts to drill a shot in to the middle of the goal just as five minutes of injury time started.
His third was all him, holding the ball up, getting at his man and then firing a fierce right-footed shot into the bottom corner for six.
