Sephton is second summer signing
Midfielder Scott Sephton is Warrington Town’s second new signing of the summer.
Sephton, 28, arrives from Buxton and joins Alex Byrne as a new face in Paul Carden’s squad, which report back for pre-season next week.
He started last season in National League North, making three appearances for Ashton United.
Sephton said: “I’ve been speaking to Paul for the past couple of weeks but I’m delighted to get it over the line now.
“I’m glad it’s been sorted before pre-season. I can focus now on getting fit and looking forward to the games to head into the season.
“From playing against them last year, I know this group is a tough group. The play-off games didn’t go as planned for them. They were a very strong side and they didn’t stop.
“Competition for places is good and I know I’m coming into a very strong team. That’s only going to push me to do better myself.”
Sephton is no stranger to the town, as he lives in Orford.
