Trio added to Paul Carden’s squad

Warrington Town have signed Mo Ali and Matthew Grivosti, while winger Jack Mackreth has returned to the club.

Mackreth, 29, left earlier this year to take up a deal with Bala Town in the Welsh Premier League, with the Northern Premier League season curtailed prior to Christmas.

His return has now been negotiated, meaning he will be in Paul Carden’s squad for a fourth successive season.

Midfielder Grivosti has impressed during pre-season having come to the club via the Fowler Education Football Academy (FEFA).

Centre-back Ali, 27, started the pre-season games against Chorley and Southport, where he spent last season.

Born in the Netherlands, he played alongside Manchester City defender Nathan Ake at junior level and moved to Manchester in 2013, playing for Northwich Victoria, Glossop North End, Mossley, Droylsden and Curzon Ashton.

He has won eight international caps for Somalia.
