Yellows fight back twice to rescue Bolton draw

Warrington Town and Bolton Wanderers played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Yellows’ final pre-season friendly at Cantilever Park before the new season.

Former Town forward Matty Grivosti, who left the club earlier this summer to take up a professional contract with Wanderers, marked his return with a well-taken strike after two minutes, capitalising on a misplaced pass from goalkeeper Tony Thompson.

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts found a quick response, however, firing an emphatic strike beyond Luke Hutchinson from just inside the penalty area following a floated ball over the top of the Bolton defence.

Lamine Toure put the visitors back in-front on the stroke of half-time, but the Yellows fought back midway through the second half, courtesy of Sean Williams’ penalty into the bottom right corner.
