Yellows make double signing
Warrington Town have signed Tom Warren and Alex McNally ahead of this weekend’s game with Matlock Town.
Warren, 22, is no stranger to the Yellows, having made 28 appearances in the 2019/20 season.
His final appearance was the last game before COVID, when Warren scored a stunning injury time winner to complete a comeback from 2-0 down, ironically at home to Matlock Town.
That was his first goal as a professional, with the majority of his games in his previous spell coming at left-back.

The former Everton youngster has since been with Ashton United in the Northern Premier League, and he has made 22 appearances this campaign playing both left-back and left-midfield.
Manager Mark Beesley said: “Tom is a player we’ve had our eye on for a while. We’ve been looking for that type of player who can play left back, left wing, left wing back. Someone who’s a good lad and a good character, that we already know from when we’ve had him before.
“We’re really pleased that when he became available we could get it done quickly.
“He’s not played for a month or so due to a little injury but he’ll be available to play full games as soon as possible. It was a no brainer for us when Tom became available.”

Joining Warren in the squad is young centre-back McNally, who has been training with the team for the past few weeks.
McNally, 18, made four appearances for Marine last season and has spent time with Burscough.
Beesley added: “Alex is a young lad who has been training with us for a few weeks. Dave Raven had him at Marine and spoke highly of him. He’s done really well.
“We’ve signed him on as cover with a view to next season. We may send him on loan to get some games in but he’s there if we need him and ready to be part of the squad.”
