Preview: Warrington Town vs Scarborough Athletic

Warrington Town will look to bounce back from the disappointment of their midweek defeat at Hereford when Scarborough Athletic visit the UNIS Compliance Stadium in the National League North on Saturday.

Just three points separate the sides in the league table, and the Yellows will be keen to equal the Seadogs’ tally of 29 as they face off for the first time since the 2021/22 Northern Premier League play-off final.

Connor Woods and Bohan Dixon are both eligible to feature following their midweek sending-offs, with the respective three and two-game bans they incurred not taking effect until next week’s trip to King’s Lynn Town.

Mitch Duggan returns from his own suspension, while Jay Harris is pushing to start after getting another 45 minutes under his belt on Tuesday night.

Stockport County wide man Josh Popoola could make his home debut for the Yellows, but Peter Clarke (shoulder), Matty McDonald (knee) and Evan Gumbs (hernia) are all still unavailable.

There will also be no Aaron Bennett, whose departure to FC United of Manchester was confirmed on Friday following a seven-day notice of approach.
